Early 19th Century English Creamer With Hand Painted Scene A lovely English creamer with a beautiful hand painted scene, it dates back to the early 19th century.This a splendid large cup, perfect for a those who love objects with a nostalgic tale. (The hand painted scenes has minimal scratches from indications of being gently used)Measures: 4 inches height. The hand painted scene is decorated with accents and borders of gold leaf, scrolls and floral. Walter Stinton was born in the late 1860s and was John seniors fourth son.Royal Dux – Work Horses A gorgeous pair of work horses in a wonderful Art Nouveau, by Royal Dux.It is beautifully hand painted with washes of yellow, orange, brown, blue and red.In doing so, potteries began to add their name or trademark to the base of the jugs in addition to “Made in England” or “Made in Germany”, etc.

Cup measures: 4 1/2 inches long to handle x 3 3/4 inches cup diameter. The scene depicts a wonderful little traveller in a European village upon a morning stroll in the country. (Minimal scratches on paint of body, with cracks on gold paint from gentle wear, image included)Unmarked. The painting was done by Walter Stinton from the famous Stinton family of Worcester painters. Decorated with 3 scenic panels and separated by 3 geometric designs. (Minimal surface scratches on the back and a small mark near a unknown symbol)Meissen – Two Birds and Branch. A large porcelain figurine depicting two little tree birds on a tree branch, it dates the 19th century by Meissen factory in Germany.Pink triangle to base with Letter 'E' dating to late Victorian/Art Nouveau period. Flat chip to rear of base but otherwise excellent condition.The stunning combination of colours gives the horses a breath of liveness to the porcelain.
